President Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday for the second time since Hamas launched an operation in southern Israel and said that more US military aid is on its way.
According to the White House, President Biden “conveyed that additional assistance for the Israeli Defense Forces is now on its way to Israel with more to follow over the coming days.”
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said in a statement that the US “will be rapidly providing the Israel Defense Forces with additional equipment and resources, including munitions. The first security assistance will begin moving today and arriving in the coming days.”
Israel already receives $3.8 billion in military aid each year from the US. It’s unclear how the US will be funding the new arms it’s sending to Israel, which will likely be pulled from US military stockpiles.
In the call with Netanyahu, President Biden also pledged “his full support for the Government and people of Israel in the face of an unprecedented and appalling assault by Hamas terrorists.”
Israel has been bombarding Gaza in response to the Hamas assault, and major casualties have been incurred on both sides in just two days of fighting. The situation will likely significantly escalate as Israel is expected to launch a ground invasion of Gaza with support from the US.
Let’s follow the logic. The US is supplying Israel with munitions and equipment. Thus this makes the US an accessory to a war Israel declared. Therefore all Americans are now enemy targets. And we weep over 9/11 and why it happened.
Well I will bet you there are some Palestinian Americans that are about to die.
Many have already died in the occupied territories, including a Palestinian Americans journalist just last year.
Yep that was quite the coverup
Hundreds just this year, V
Including a two year old baby boy. Whose “crime” was being in his parents’ car.
At whose hands?
Israelis wielding American weapons with full support of the American government.
Now, we are sending a carrier group to “assist” Israel, the country with a navy of its own, an air force, an army, sophisticated intel. A carrier group!
Get out of the war zone
And warships are on their way. Gods, can’t wait until Iran closes the Straits of Hormuz 😁
What in particular do you have against Iran?
??? I don’t think Gypsy has anything in particular against Iran.
Then why is she saying that she can’t wait for Iran’s navy and air force to be sent to the bottom of the Strait and thousands of its citizens killed?
Nope! US wouldn’t sink Iran navy to the bottom of Strait of Hormuz because that would block the shallow waterway…!
“They wouldn’t do something that blocked the waterway in response to the waterway being blocked!”
If Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz its naval assets will be safely in dry dock and their air force in fortified or underground hangers. Kamikaze drones, land based cruise missiles and camouflaged mobile rocket launchers hidden along the Iranian coast could close the strait to traffic.
Just to be clear: The US armed forces could not successfully invade, conquer, and occupy Iran without a transition back to full WW2-level warfare statism (since WW2, the program has been to maintain warfare statism at a level highly profitable to “defense” contractors while still leaving a little room for economic growth).
But if Iran tried to close the Strait three things would happen:
1. Its navy and air force would be rendered combat-ineffective within days;
2. Lots of Iranian civilians would be killed; and
3. IF the Strait was closed at all, it would be re-opened within a week. Except to Iranian traffic, that is.
Iran has been preparing to close the Strait of Hormuz for decades. It would be done from the land, not the sea or the air. The only way for the US to open the Strait would be to invade, conquer and occupy Iran – an impossible task against where even the opposition opposes Zionism and would oppose a US invasion.
Iran has been preparing for asymmetric war with the US, Israel and their allies for over 40 years. Iran would pay a price, but the Strait would remain closed unless the US occupied and pacified a large part of Iran. But an occupation of Iran would be politically unsustainable.
Well, hopefully won’t have to find out how dramatically you’ve over-estimated Iran’s military capabilities.
Iran understands asymmetric war and has been preparing to fight the US for decades. The key for Iran is to make the US fight on Iranian soil. Which is how Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz. A US invasion of Iran would make the Russians look like welcome guests in Ukraine. Even the Iranian opposition remembers Mossadegh.
“The key for Iran is to make the US fight on Iranian soil.”
Exactly.
And that’s not going to happen.
If Iranian forces attempt to close the Strait, the US forces will destroy the forces involved in the attempt, and the bases from which they operate, using naval/air/missile power. If there are any “boots on the ground” it will be small-scale special ops.
Of course, as we’ve seen in any number of wars, air/missile power usually entails lots of civilian casualties.
Thomas, you are too smart to sound like the guys bragging about Russia’s “UNSTOPPABLE HYPERSONIC MISSILES!!!” Vietnam started as “small scale special-ops”
There are only two ways the US could take out Iranian ground forces blocking the Strait – occupation or nuclear attack. The Iranians would return to the Strait once the special ops are extracted. I learned after the US debacle at Tet not to underestimate the capacity of motivated irregular forces in asymmetric wars. If the Iranians decide to block the strait, the strait will become a combat zone impassable to civilian traffic.
“Thomas, you are too smart to sound like the guys bragging about Russia’s ‘UNSTOPPABLE HYPERSONIC MISSILES!!!'”
Yes, I am too smart for that. So why are you pretending I said anything resembling it?
I’m also too smart to think that Iranian ground forces could block the Strait. Nothing against Iranians, but I’m not convinced they’re able to walk on water.
“If the Iranians decide to block the strait, the strait will become a combat zone impassable to civilian traffic.”
It well might. I’d set the over-under betting line for how long that situation would last at 96 hours, and strongly consider taking the under.
Mr. T, are you forgetting the Iran/Russia/ China alliance?
Amerikkka wants war with China; that may be one way to get it. Bad idea.
No, I’m not forgetting that non-existent alliance.
Then you might not remember the ferocity of the Persian people.
You can be as ferocious as you want to be. Tomahawk missiles can’t be stared down with ferocity.
As a veteran of the Nixon-Kissinger Fig Leaf Contingent (Vietnam 1970-72) I remember many of our special ops (Seal Team) forays up rivers and canals straight into ambushes. I can also remember the spectacular “hostage rescue” operation in Iran that came to be known as “The Jimmy Carter Desert Classic.” Our Special Flops, though, did succeed in murdering the defenseless Osama bin Laden staked out for them by the Pakistani military — although they did lose a helicopter trying to get out of town with his riddled corpse for a “burial at sea.” I could multiply examples, but you get the picture . . .
As Barbara Tuchman wrote about the failed U.S. military attempt to intervene in the post-war Chinese Civil War (1945-49): “In the End, China went her own way, as if the Americans had never come.” Pretty much the story of American Militarist Adventurism for the past seventy-five years. I seriously caution anyone against thinking that the U.S. military will do anything but make matters worse anyplace our delusional “leaders” choose to deploy it. And any significant casualties whatsoever, once publicly known, will promptly bring down any U.S. government stupid enough to imagine that we really did “Kick the Vietnam Syndrome once and for all.” No, we didn’t. And we won’t. Because the nasty bastard — reality — will always kick back even harder.
I wasn’t commenting on the quality of US special operations forces, just saying that if there were any US “boots on the ground” in a fight over an Iranian attempt to close the Strait, it would be those kinds of boots. Things may have changed in the last 30-odd years since I got out, but at one time one spec-ops function was locating air defense radars that are only lit up when there’s incoming, and laser-designating them for strikes so that there’s no need to wait for them to turn on because the strike craft or missiles are within their range.
Insightful comment.
And this may sound odd coming from the likes of me, but thank you for your service in Nam.
And Amerikkkans did SO WELL against Afghani sheepherders, didn’t they?
What does that have to do with anything? I already clearly stated that the US could not easily invade, conquer, and occupy Iran.
The US effectively destroyed Afghanistan’s conventional military forces in a matter of a few weeks — which is a lot longer than it would take for the US to end the ability of Iran’s conventional military forces to control the Strait of Hormuz.
Not one damn thang, Mr. T.
Iran is an enormous and powerful nation that takes no sh*t from Amerikkka and its “allies”.
The Bahai, the Kurds, the Jews, the dissidents, the opposition imprisoned, torture, murdering a women who showed a lock of hair, virginity inspections,Hamas Hezbollah. The puppet masters are worse than the puppets.
“And we weep over 9/11 and why it happened.”
Don’t you remember? They hate us for our freedoms.
😂
Very like the times before wwI,alliances. Any invasion of a neighbor,as Hamas did,is a defacto declaration of war.
Oh h*ll, Israel declared war on the Palestinians 75 years ago with the forced displacement of 750,000. There were massacres. Deir Yassin was just one.
Israel didn’t even exist at the time of the Deir Yassin massacre.
Oh.
Didn’t the would-be IsraHellis commit it?
Splitting hairs is becoming rather tiresome, Mr. T.
Some of the would-be Israelis (Irgun/Lehi) committed it, others (Haganah/Jewish Agency) condemned it.
Attacks are committed by those who commit them, not by others, and not by non-existent entities.
So you admit that would-be IsraHellis committed the massacre.
Yes, just like would-be Palestinians committed the Hebron massacre in 1929, when there was not and never had been any state of Palestine, and when the word “Palestinian” was normally used to describe a Jew born in Palestine. Does the current state of Palestine get the blame for that?
Israel accepted UN 181,the Arabs refused it and started warfare.
What is that old saying? Hoist with your own petard.
Precisely the point Chalmers Johnson made in “Blowback”. It is just a matter of time before the oppressed fight back.
Agreed. “It is just a matter of time before” all you’re left with are merciless killers that are harder to kill. I think Darwin might have had a point.
Watch as every tie and suit in DC trip over each other to pucker up.
Analyzer,
Don’t you mean bend over and take it in the keester?
They’ll do both, proudly.
No thanks. I’m not even turning on my TV to watch the weather anymore. I’m trying to read a book on meditation and mindfulness instead. …So far, it’s not going well. From what you can see, I returned to reading your comments.
I as well, NA. I’m not watching the “news” but I feel like I must keep returning here for updates. And the worst is yet to come.
I don’t either, but moochers will splash all over and wont be able to avoid them.
Also, I just checked tracking, your new shipment of sarcasm will arrive next week. Please use sparingly.
NA has a never-ending supply!
“Progressive” Corey Booker already got first dibs.
With Vaseline slathered on their lips.
Is Israel short of weapons? I wouldn’t think so. How hard is it to drop some cluster munitions onto the Gaza strip against inmates that have no airforce?
Or navy. Or army. Or drones.
Nope, it’s just that they are as utterly worthless as the American military when it comes to fighting someone who actually shoots back!
?? You think the outcome is in doubt? What is coming is going to make “Cast Lead” look like kids party. Israel has lurched to the right and has a lot more Russians running stuff than before.
Comparing Cast Lead to a “kids party”, even in bad sarcasm, is vile.
What the f*ck’s wrong with you?
I am making a prediction, I am not happy about it, I hope i am wrong but I doubt it. Don’t worry after it is all over there will be a lot of hand wringing in the media.
After the 1973 setbacks, they crushed their very well armed and trained enemies.
That was 50 years ago. Most of the 2023 IDF was born after they retired.
But it is true that they did beat actual armies back in 1973, which makes the performance of the last couple days all the more embarrassing.
Because people are people-they get overconfident and lazy.
How hard is it to take hostages, especially old ladies in wheelchairs? to kill sleeping children point blank? Now plenty of innocents will die.
I agree that it is evil and wrong for Hamas to copycat the IDF that way.
Yes
Israeli IDF “detains’ kids as young as 8.
Yes yes, both sides, a view that always goes nowhere.
Amazing how cluster bomb technology from the US travels around the world to battles with whom the US favors.

In the call with Netanyahu, President Biden also pledged “his full support for the Government and people of Israel in the face of an unprecedented and appalling assault by Hamas terrorists.
You’re going to be hearing that a lot in the coming days. The oncoming onslaught is going to have to be justified. The terror the Gazans feel won’t be counted as being equal. Mass punishment will be necessary since “human shields” (you’ll hear that often too) will be used although living in a sardine can limits the places that doesn’t have civilians in large numbers. It’s going to take a lot of killing for the Israelis to get their normal disproportionate amount of revenge this time but I’m sure they’ll give it their best.
You TELL IT, Wars.
Please see my comment above.
You also gonna hear “Israel has the right for self defense” repeatedly in coming days from US media, and from US & EU moron politicians…!
They are already bleating “unprovoked” repeatedly like the pathetic little sheep they are https://caityjohnstone.medium.com/theyre-repeating-the-word-unprovoked-again-this-time-in-defense-of-israel-2984786b1ef8
Throwing rocks at F15s is not a workable strategy.
It’ll be all the usual suspects -Putin, Iran, and Terrorists.
Yes. And the reason they will keep calling it a terrorist attack is so they can claim that our “indirect” involvement in Ukraine is different from Iran’s indirect involvement with this war, er I mean terrorist attack.
It has been apparent for a while that Iran is next on the hit list.
Good point. I think they take great pride in their sophistal construction.
Anyone with any realistic knowledge of the Palestinians situation knows who the real terrorists are.
Hamas gang rapers.
Robert, according to RT, there are some who were claiming that Putin was behind the attack because it occurred on his birthday! 😂
Killary can back that up. (Sarcasm)
Actually, bday aside I very much hope he is, as with the rest, and indeed all people of goodwill and sympathy for the oppressed. It is the “Warsaw Ghetto” X 10.
I as well, Robert! As for it being Putin’s birthday, I noted that it makes him a Libra, an outstanding choice for a leader. Libras are calm, reasonable and able to view both sides of a situation with utter clarity.
Does seem to fit.
Israels best has been good enough to ruin and enslave an entire people since 1967.They have created a humongous concentration camp filled with displaced, starving women and childen with no plumbing or electricity. It is a tragedy and crime of epic proportions similar to Nazi Germany. They started this massacre 75 years ago and have refined and mastered their techniques.
1967. The attack, attempted sinking of the ship of the United States of America, the U.S.S. Liberty, killing 34 crew members, injuring 171. We didn’t do jack.
Imprisoning, blockading, starving, and killing you for decades is not justification. Unprovoked and unjustified only when you do it. When we do it, it’s provoked and justified. You’re the terrorists. We are morally superior and justified. …You think I’m kidding? …That’s exactly what they’re saying. (Sarcasm)
I agree that the attacks were provoked, but I don’t believe that mass shootings or bombings of civilians are ever justified. Assaults on military targets or drone or sniper attacks on the same are, however, and the latter have proved super effective. In 2002 a lone Palestinian with nil training and a rusty WW2 rifle turned 7 Israeli soldiers into folded flags and probably would have gotten more, had his gun not exploded. He got away to, and was only captured 2 years later. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wadi_al-Haramiya_sniper_attack. The IRA used similar tactics to good effect to bring the Brits to the negotiating table https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Armagh_Sniper_(1990%E2%80%931997) and don’t forget Juba https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juba_(sniper)
I agree with you, Argon. But, I don’t have as much” skin in the game” as those Gazans and Israelis. If someone killed my Mom or baby, I couldn’t honestly say that I wouldn’t have a different perspective. One sad part is there is no honest dialogue in our country that “apartheid” is not something we prefer or support, regardless who’s practicing it. These events should serve as shining examples as to why “apartheid” is not a viable option. Instead, we’re arguing that the Israelis should have oppressed the Gazans more or kill them better. Truly desperate people only have desperate options, probably not good ones. I can’t comprehend the level of “despair” those people feel. Even if it were 100% true, if I were a Gazan, nobody in the world would believe me if I claimed that I became Mahatma Gandhi. I wouldn’t even believe my own self! (Sarcasm)
If Arabs had accepted Oslo, instead of demanding from the river to the sea, they would be better off. no compassion for Hamas gang rapers.
Seems you have fallen for the Western propaganda , Hamas gang rapers ? , REALLY what ever next ? , terrorists perhaps ,Nazis ect ect ect the usual name calling to get sheep like you on side .
Yes, Hamas gang rapes.
But wait…isn’t everything already promised to Ukraine? Won’t this make Z-man mad??? I thought “everything we had” belonged to him??
There’s always room for Jello and more munitions in the White House and Capitol Bldg. nursing home.
Don’t forget Ukraine is “Big Israel” to Zelensky. So he shouldn’t mind his smaller, but longer established “Little Israel” sibling getting its share of the booty. 😉
If Israel “needs military assistance” to deal with an attack by a few thousand guerillas something is seriously wrong. Israel has one of the largest arms industries in the world, and spends nearly as much on their military as Turkey, Pakistan, and Iran COMBINED, as well as receiving access to high tech US weaponry.
This is just Biden and his enablers taking another opportunity to enrich the defense industry with more money we don’t have, for nothing to do with defending the US.
Israel also HAS THE BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Handouts are appreciated, regardless. Swine and parasites–that defines most governments today.
As are liberal professors.
HIS full support…not OURS.
I was very pleased to see pro-Palestinian rallies across the country on the evening news.
If you’d like a nice break from the bile vomited out by our Zio-controlled MSM, read some of the Irish newspapers online. Ireland is sending ten million euros to Palestine. 🇵🇸🇮🇪
How I miss Ireland; how I long to reside there.
They are? Terrific, if true. The EU has suspended all aid to the Palestinians. Sounds like a back ally beat down by the Western powers.
I read it in an Irish newspaper online. The. Irish will find a way to supply this humanitarian aid; NO ONE dictates to them!
I’m proud of my own heritage, but goddamn, I wish I had some of the Irish in me! ( It would explain a lot 😉)
Vis a vis humanitarian aid, I wonder if Turkey might not decide it’s time to break the Gaza blockade.
Maybe that’s why the carrier group is headed there…
They’re headed there because the United States of IsraHell is terrified of possible involvement by Iran.
More like they’re headed there because the United States and Israel are licking their chops at the prospect of possibly being able to semi-plausibly, not quite convincingly, pin some atrocity on Iran that can be treated as a “provocation” to which they must “respond.” Then everyone can say “what else was the US/Israel supposed to DO? Why won’t the Iranians NEGOTIATE? After all, the US/Israel OFFERED them ‘neutrality.'”
Sounds plausible as hell, Mr. T.
Turkey was warned to the effect that if you start something,NATO won’t help them.It would please me to see Turkey loose a few warships.
It would please me to see Israel lose its ability to blockade Gaza. And Erdogan would probably get some domestic love out of finally avenging e.g. the Israeli piracy/murder of the Mavi Mara.
If two people are fighting, either break it up or walk away-Turke got cute and stuck its beak in. Considering the bestial behavior of Hamas rape gangs-Gazans will starve for Hamas crimes, while Hamas louches around in well stocked bunkers. It wouold pleaseme if Turkey would give allow the Kurds Kurdestan, instead of killing them, and repent for the Armenian genocide.
Israel with the backing of Aipac and Zionists everywhere are responsible for the mass slaughter and concentration camps that violate Gods will and the teachings and beliefs of Jesus
For 2000 years, have Christians followed the teachings of Jesus? on rare occasion. The Koran forbids the taking of non-combattants as hostages. Faced with the insanity of mass rapes-do think Israel is dealing with reasonable people. In the Tasmanian genocide,Christians practiced Kill the man,cut the head off, rape the woman alongside her husband’s corps, such as Hamas does.
Most modern Christianity is based on Paul, not on Jesus. At least where the two disagree.
Sink the MF’s-NATO told Turk that they will not protect them if they act up.
I miss a lot of places I have been that won’t be there after the US and Israel bring on the apocolypse
Between this newly promised funding for Netenyahustan and the Ukraine War, the MIC’s going be in Scrooge McDuck, swan-diving-into-the-money-bin-territory by year’s end!
US has to choose between Ukraine and Israel now…! Only one can be supplied with slow moving weapons…!
Ah, but we are hard at work revving up a coup in Georgia. Mr. Biden wants a two front war against Russia. Jolly good for MIC business. Then there is Iran, which I am sure is ready for the eventual attack. I don’t think our carrier group is there just to aid Israel. Israel has plenty of muscle.
One well place hypersonic missile and goodby 5000 sailors,80 fighter planes and a very exspensive Carrier.
“Biden Tells Netanyahu More Military Aid Is on Its Way The US will be providing Israel with munitions and other equipment”
Did anyone ask the American taxpayers if giving away $Billions to Afghanistan, Ukraine and Taiwan was what they wanted?
Why did the US force Israel to send weapons to Ukraine when they might be needed at home?
The US can’t even protect it’s own boarders and they throw many around like a drunken sailor.
Hamas attacked because America seems weak and Israel is tied to a weak senile old fool Joey Biden. Hamas already acknowledged the support of Ukraine in providing some black market weapons!
Have not read that. However, it has been documented that our military has not been great in accounting for the weapons we have been giving Kiev.
Since when does Wash. ask us anything? They have their own selfish agenda for themselves and their campaign donors.
Too funny!
What goes around comes around every time!
Pathetic groveling sycophant.
I believe that the attack by Hamas was triggered by Israel’s deliberate military occupation of the al Aqsa mosque last week Thursday. That makes this war more complex than Iran only.
I have absolutely no doubt that the military operation in Jerusalem was ordered by Netanyahu himself. His government was on shaky grounds and there were massive demonstrations in Israel against him. He needed a diversion badly and he got one with the support of our current President whom he is playing like the fiddler on the roof is playing his fiddle. Disgusting.
Of course he also needed a more powerful scaregoat than Hamas. He did not even have to mention Iran because he knew that Biden and the great majority of our nation would immediately finger the government of Iran as the malevolent power behind this uprising. Netanyahu is not only playing fiddler on the roof with Biden but with much of our gullible nation which does not know how Iran became the scaregoat of Israel.
That scaregoat had been Egypt and, to a lesser degree, Saudi Arabia. After the Camp David agreement new scaregoats had to be found. That was easy. The imprisonment of American diplomats in Tehran made that possible. Israel’s propaganda war against Iran (they can have an N-bomb in a few weeks!) was guaranteed to succeed. It did.
This was planned for years.
This uprising against the state of Israel is long overdue. It takes a great deal of courage andb desperation to attack a military power such as Israel. Literally throwing rocks at tanks and Jet planes while being hopelessly outgunned is suicidal. No chance of Israel running out of arms. Our leader Joe Biden and AIPAC will see that never happens.
Murdering a bunch of kids at a music festival, kidnapping civilians, etc. isn’t an “uprising against the state of Israel.”
In fact, it’s so GOOD for the Israeli regime that I have to wonder if maybe it wasn’t funded and ordered by that regime (which, I understand, funded the formation of Hamas in the first place as a counterweight to the PLO/PFLP/PA).
The ANC bombed shopping center, the Native Americans attacked wagon trains, the FLN bombed civilian targets and the North Vietnamese tortured POWs. National liberation movements sometimes use horrible tactics. But in most cases, these horrible tactics don’t delegitimize the national resistance movement and often contribute to its success. War is inherently inhuman and sometimes necessary,
I regret the loss of life at the Israeli music festival even though the concert goers were mostly current, former or soon to be members of the Israeli military occupation. The Zionists and the indifferent international community have left the Palestinians with no alternative to armed struggle. Free Palestine!
By the same logic, southern terrorists during the civil war were OK. Palestine will never be free until it sits down at a tabke in sincerity
One man’s terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. Depends on which side you’re on. But ‘terrorism’ as a word has lost its meaning due to what I said above.
People who shoot unarmed people point blank and drive around with the nude bodies of the women they have raped-they are terrorists-more than terrorists -psycho killers-that is Hamas
Sincerity my ass. The US and Israel are not capable of that.
Did I say anything about it “delegitimizing” a “national resistance movement?”
Attacking a music festival and raping and murdering those attending it is not “national resistance,” it’s just rape and murder. Just like IDF abductions, murders, etc., aren’t “national defense.”
Collateral damage thingy again.
Amen
I seem to recall that back in the 70’s, the IRA seemed to have popular support among the Amerikkkan people—-myself included.
I was Irish at heart even back then.
The Provos had popular support — or at least active support from those they were popular with — in the US right up to the Good Friday Agreement.
I never detected any loss in support from the Irish American community post GFA.
It was the armed struggle and the sacrifice of Bobby Sands and his comrades that got us to a political settlement and was regarded as a victory by most nationalists everywhere.
I began my campaigns for the rights of displaced people as a teenager when I first read “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee”.
Following that, support of the IRA.
The natural conclusion was the support for the displaced Palestinians.
I’ve rooted for the underdog since I was a youngster, when the smaller kids were bullied. I was tall and strong, and their tormentors, ,mostly boys, felt the fury of my fists. I believe I broke a number of noses.
Can’t help it; my Mars is in Scorpio. I miss the good old days when you could kick someone’s ass just because they needed an ass- kickin’.
Remember the Nietzsche quote from yesterday?
Eye for an eye. Both religions believe that so it will be endless vendettas back and forth.
Many Palestinians are Christians, including popular spokeswoman Hanan Ashwari.
This. Peas in a pod.
One report shows that Egyptian intelligence warned Israel about something brewing. A deliberate standdown may have been ordered.
I believe you. It said so in the ‘Times of Israel’. The Mossad has the best intelligence and operatives in the world, plus it’s not like spies can’t be embedded in that small area of Palestine and Israel. Totally stinks. But, killing won’t solve anything and the eye for eye mentality will ensure vendettas going back and forth forever.
It’s not an “eye for an eye” mentality on the part of the Palestinians.
It’s a struggle for FREEDOM.
By all means, please feel free to explain how abducting old women and raping young women next to the corpses of their murdered non-military friends contributes to FREEDOM [TM].
Turnabout is fair play.
No, being Ted Bundy isn’t “fair play” just because someone else is Charles Manson.
Charley called the tune. Charley doesn’t get to sit this one out.
Where are you getting your information about “rapes”? The MSM? I’ve neither heard, seen nor read anything of the kind.
Not even on the MSM for that matter.
Then you’ve worked very hard to avoid seeing it.
No , I have not. I’m reading everything possible about the conflict. If can provide we with a legitimate link, I’d believe you; notice I said LEGITIMATE.
This brings to recollection a female soldier named Jessica Something or Other who was held captive in the Iraq war. The media was screeching that she had been raped by Iraqi soldiers.
When she was released, Jessica said that not only was she not raped, she was treated well by the Iraqis and even received a number of marriage proposals!
The eye for eye mentality is used by both sides. i.e. you kill my innocent civilians, so I will kill yours.
Until death do they part, both Israelis and Palestinians.
You got it right. Spot on!
You must understand that Israel has the most potent PR machinery in the world. Hollywood. How many movies have been made that put Palestinians in a positive light????
My mind is a blank,I don’t remember any.
Isn’t it amazing how the U.S. Gov’ment always comes up with money for war, but never seems to have money for domestic issues or to fund the government.
Bill: It might be amazing but it is not funny or surprising.
Or build bridges. Or repair roads. Or keep programs that benefit the poor fully funded for an entire fiscal year. But, hey, there is a (potential) war going on somewhere in the world.
Forget the current fiasco in Ukraine, divert war supplies to Israel now. Worry about Ukraine tomorrow.
In the world of NEOCON leave no opportunity to provoke war.
Is Lindsey Graham President?
Lindsey Graham went to Ukraine and told Zelensky the best money that America ever spent to kill Russians is in Ukraine. Now he is provoking war with Iran.
Senator Lindsey Graham: “I’ve been on the phone with the Middle East all day telling our allies and people with
ties to Iran what I’m going to do. I’m going to tell Iran that if Hezbollah attacks Israel, we’re going to come after you Iranians. And we’re going to coordinate U.S. and Israeli efforts to put Iran out of the oil business by destroying its refineries. Iran has four major oil refineries. They are our targets. If Hezbollah attacks Israel, I will make Iran pay a heavy price.”
Don’t forget Nikki Haley also chiming in. She reminds me of Adam Sandler in the movie, Little Nicky. …No?
Here… See for yourself. (Sarcasm)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0185431/mediaviewer/rm3418462464/?ref_=tt_ov_i
Icky Haley is close to the top of my Sh*t List. She once said, quote, I wear high heels and I use them to stomp out unions.
I don’t wear high heels. I wear cowgirl boots, and I use them to do an ass-plant in the likes of her derrière 😁
LOL.
Pointy toes, NA 😉
Notice how evil politicians have become in just a few years?
First time I’ve heard ancient Sumer described as recent.
I referred to the politicians of the new century. Seems the Cosmic Joker is calling the shots today. You can’t make this stuff up. No wonder Mad Magazine stopped publishing; you can’t satirize and lampoon today’s politicians and policies.
I miss Alfred Newman
Yeah, she implied an attack on Israel is an attack on America. Grandstanding. It’s an election year. Watch how this crisis will be used in Wash. for election purposes.
AIPAC now and AIPAC forever is the name of this tune. Can you hear me Chuck Schumer?
I guess Lindsey forgot about what constitutes “direct” involvement. Or is he saying Russia has every right to attack America?
Did Lady G ever serve in the military?
Or was he, like the Cadaver-in-Chief, one of the Fortunate Sons?
He was a lawyer in the Army. Somehow, I can’t imagine him getting through basic training, though. 🙂
A lawyer in the army?! That sounds about as dangerous as my brother serving as a doctor at Dyess Air Force Base! 😂
Biden is every bit as despicable as Netanyahu. Pigs in the same trough.
And, both are in hot water, unpopular and what a chance to divert attention away from them and take the heat off.
Wag the dog.
They’re from the Kill or be Killed Generation, relics from the Soviet days, showing no signs of cognitive function – only Pavlovian hatred and violence – tribal to the core, but not in a human way.
Well the Israelis are using their Holocaust Get Out of Jail Free card to justify the coming war crimes they have been lusting to carry out against the dirty Arabs next door for decades. and Joe Biden is right there cheering them on, bringing marshmallows to the barbecue.
I voted for Mr. Biden in 2020. He isn’t getting my vote next year.
Voting for a lesser evil is still voting for evil.
Biden should be admitted to a mental hospital and Trump should be locked up in prison…!
Trump,for all his failures,was a nationalist,not a globalist.
Vice versa would work for me.
If someone held a gun to my head and told me to vote for either ByeDone or Trump, I’d vote for the latter.
Vile as he was, at least he didn’t put us close to the poorhouse.
To the extent that presidents affect your journey to the poorhouse, it’s a relay. Trump took you his bit of the way there and more before kicking you out of the car and letting Biden pick you up.
A difference in two presidents and it matters. Trump had only one god for guidance: Trump. What he did he did for self-aggrandizement and self-promotion. He was never interested in the job.
Biden is a long time lackey of the cold war mentality, and he has been PNAC’s errand boy and lackey for virtually all of his political life. He loves his job.
One was a tornado that blows you into a tree if you’re within range. The other is one who chased you up the tree brandishing a pitchfork.
It ain’t a good choice .
Everywhere, I am reading about the massive amount of military weapons we think Israel needs to defend against the most awesome, most powerful fighting machine in the world……………….Hamas. The Iron Dome needs to be reloaded. We need to send a carrier group. Fretting over how to feed two wars simultaneously; Ukraine, Gaza. We need to figure out how to defend poor Israel from the parasail soldiers (still trying to figure that out concerning Chinese balloons). Poor little Israel, with just a navy, air force, army, jets, drones, tanks, nukes. How can it survive against those guerrilla fighters? My G-d in Heaven, we have to have a war bond drive, or something…………………….
The Hasbras are working overtime today.
I have no words for the hatred that’s spewed on this site. After 800 innocent Israelis are slaughtered in the most brutal way, people here still defend Hamas. Young children murdered, young girls stripped naked, raped, video taped and then murdered, elderly people killed, soldiers beheaded…And if it’s even possible there’s a double cruelty. These atrocities are recorded on the phones of the victims and the recordings sent to the families. A young Israeli boy cries for his mom…the reply…”mommy is dead”. A young Israeli boy who has been kidnapped is surrounded by children in Gaza, bullied and pushed while a Palestinian adult eggs them on about “the Jew”. Sadly there will be a very heavy price exacted from the Palestinians. Hamas cowards hide in schools, mosques, civilian buildings and hospitals. A civilized nation must fight evil without reservations. Otherwise there is no hope.
Where have you been the past 75 years? What in the hell do you think Palestinian families have been going through???
They apparently don’t count. Like many Russian speakers in Ukraine, and like the non European descent in the US not so long ago.
How quickly we forget our glorious Imperialist racist past.
Nothing like this.
Were the white voters in South Africa innocent civilians?
Odele is most likely a Hasbara shill.
Oh, come on. There are atrocities on both sides. Why? Because you have two ‘eye for eye’ religions and the vendettas have been going on for a very long time, and they will never end. And, Egypt warned Tel Aviv there was something happening, but was ignored. You can read that in the ‘Times of Israel.’ This whole thing stinks of political maneuvering in both Tel Aviv and Wash. for exploitative purposes. So, maybe you should look to your own gov. to see who is benefiting from this war.
Believe what you want. I am not prepared to “turn the other cheek”. And if you think somehow Bibi benefits you are mistaken. After this war is over his government will fall. Furthermore, they are not like the leaders on the other side who are willing to sacrifice hundred and thousands of their women and children in order to advance their agenda.
You are really a ‘true believer’ and have misplaced faith in government. Only psychopaths have what it takes to get to the top in both Wash. and Tel Aviv. Did you go to ‘Times of Israel’? Sounds precisely like something that would happen. All governments are basically self serving and evil to the max.
I am aware of the article. Israel denies this. There were warnings for sure. But overlooking perhaps due to hubris is not the same as ignoring in order to enable such a slaughter to happen
Tel Aviv denied it. That’s what all govs. do, they lie for their own selfish desires and agendas. I think I would believe a former enemy of Israel’s info. before I believe anything coming out of a government. Get a clue, it’s not too late.
How about you watch some videos of what Hamas did to over 900 innocent children, young girls, old people before you spout more of your self righteous BS. They will be the victims of their “success”. This time israel won’t stop until they are finished. Many Israelis used to believe that peace is possible. That is no longer the case
Not only your persecution complex, but your hatred is showing on these boards. I don’t believe that gods have a chosen people that can do anything they want to others not like them, so that finishes my debate with you. Bye!
There is no debate. By all means love your enemy. This is not a “persecution complex” stupid. These are vile jihadi murderers no better than ISIS. They would slaughter me but just as quickly do the same to you…and your children. You have no understanding of this culture of death. Read something worthwhile and educate yourself. And this has nothing to do with “chosen people”.
What’s a “persecution complex” stupid? Is that a new species, or have you something against commas and question marks?
And, the slaughters have been going on back and forth since the beginning of Israel. I know the history, but infection of the mind by an either/or mentality and philosophy will just continue the vendettas on and on. Things are never black and white except in religions spawned in the human imagination for psychological reasons. And, both sides have become cultures of death which cannot be denied. As I posted earlier, “An eye for an eye makes everyone blind.” -Gandi
The slaughters have been going on back and forth since the beginning of recorded history, not just since the beginning of Israel. The dawn of the Abrahamic religions seems to have put the bloodthirstiness on steroids, but maybe not (I haven’t studied the pre-Abrahamic religions of that region very closely).
I meant in the context of this article and the two sides involved. Of course you’re right going back to the beginning. But, not only the Abrahamic religions, look at the Hindus and Sikhs, lots of atrocities today and also going back as well. What’s interesting is that every religion believes in evil non human entities that are at enmity with the gods and their followers, but it’s always people fighting over their good gods. Must make the evil entities happy.
“Persecution Complex” perfectly describes the Zionazis, Lily! 😁
And they wonder why antisemitism is on the rise. Look to your own notions and actions, Zios. Just keep the reasonable Jewish people out of it.
So, how is ‘eye for eye’ working for you and the Palestinians. ‘An eye for an eye makes everyone blind.’ -Gandhi
We will see.
How can you see when you’re so blind with that stupid eye for an eye thing?
++++
Well, no one who is conscious is under the impression that there aren’t many on both sides who hate one another, so stop tossing out your BS here in this venue, or go somewhere where the basis for relations is getting even, as that kind of thinking is unwelcome here, as are you, if you keep this crap up.
Who are you to tell others not to comment-do you own this site?Pay for it?
Up yours buddy. Your “antipathy” for Jews has been well documented in your myriad posts. Don’t pretend to be a lover of peace or people
